Twyla Perry 

 

Twyla Perry is a consultant with Pierre and Associates, a consulting firm that builds sustainability in small businesses, nonprofits, and startups.

 

Ms. Perry’s professional background includes The Jenna Druck Foundation's Families Helping Families Program, San Diego’s top grief resource to families after the loss of a loved one; the Vietnam Veterans of San Diego’s, dedicated to extending assistance to needy and homeless veterans of all wars and eras and their families by providing housing, food, clothing, substance abuse recovery and mental health counseling, job training and job search assistance; the San Diego AIDS Project, a program working with persons living with and dying with HIV/AIDS; The Center for Social Services; the Holistic AIDS Response Program (HARP), providing holistic services to over 700 persons with AIDS; ArtsBusXpress,  a nonprofit that enables teachers to integrate field trips for children to arts, science and technology; and the United States Army. She is currently providing support in an administrative capacity with C2SDK, a San Diego based non-profit organization.

 

An American Academy of Bereavement trained facilitator, Ms. Perry understands the value of unique and innovative programs offering a peer based support network for families, schools, and workplaces that have suffered a loss.

 

Ms. Perry has specialized training in psychology and field medicine through the United States Army, and extensive management training through Nonprofit Management Solutions.

 

Ms. Perry has served as co-chair on the San Diego Bereavement Consortium with Vitas Hospice; Board of Directors for the United Veterans Council; is a facilitator on the multi-year KPBS Love and Forgiveness Campaign; and currently resides in San Diego, CA.
